Racism in SG ?

May nakaranas na ba nito sa inyo? Or any negative treatment dahil pinoy ka? Paano nyo dineal?

  • yeah pero the same psychology is in play there...
  • if you are racist against blacks for example, and you genuinely want to change, you should try and live in Africa for a little while and immerse yourself.

mutual respect lang dito, hindi yan pinaghahandaan na kailangan alam mo agad saan mag susumbong, if you show mutual repect sa lahat they will reciprocate or at least mahihiyang tratuhin ka na inferior, again my exceptions pero not as concerning as you expect it to be.

at gaya nga ng sabi nila Susan at AhKuan, hindi lang dito ngyayari yang exceptions na yan, I'm sure sa Pinas maski ikaw may mga prejudice sa ibang kababayan, like kunwari yung iba sa atin mababa tingin sa mahihirap, or sa mga bisaya, or sa mga kapampangan, or s amga ilonggo, or sa mga ilocano, or sa mga taga mindanao. Happens everywhere, pero kung ikaw mismo mina-manifest mo ang mutual respect sa kapwa you will invite the same respect.

  • Racism is discrimination based purely on race. Discrimination is the ability to make distinctions.

  • basta it's better na lang to embrace diversity. The world would be so boring kung pare pareho lahat mga tao.

para lang yan buhok sa kilikili ng mga gwapo.. minsan manipis, minsan magubat, just enjoy it all!

May everyone have a blessed day (happy vibes kakabalik ko from pinas eh :-) )
  • hehehe @Suddenly_Susan wala bang tuyo at longanisa jan..

  • @Suddenly_Susan hehehe mamigay ka nman..
  • "sorry subscriber cannot be reached, please try again later" haha
  • hahaha @Suddenly_Susan kaloka yung 'buhok sa kilikili ng mga gwapo...'
  • pero kung ikaw mismo mina-manifest mo ang mutual respect sa kapwa you will invite the same respect.

  • you just have to adjust your tolerance in higher lever. Unfortunately, racism is everywhere, you just need to hold it.

  • Tama, baka halos lahat if not all of us ay may prejudices sa katawan...I am trying to overcome my own. Di ko pa lang naranasan na maging subject ng possible racism lalo at I have never been an OFW. Baka kasi mas mahirap ang epekto pag nasa ibang bansa at working ka, where you might be left with little options but take it in. I will make sure to exhibit mutual respect, and high level of tolerance lalo at wala ako sa sarili kong bansa. I will take note of all your words mga kabayayan ko. @Suddenly_Susan salamat pero I will go for manipis or shaved haha.... I love learning from you all. @ekme @AhKuan @popoy @tambay7 @alingnena @Kebs @carpejem @Vincent17 Maligayang araw ng kalayaan. Freeeedoooom!

@reeaahh try mo yung mabuhok, mas kumakapit yung musky smell nakakakilig :-)
  • Sabi ni KD re Curry, "he's a big dog... Gotta start respecting him...."
  • Discrimination is treating a particular group of people unfairly because of the category they are in. Unfortunately, there are many different categories people use as the basis for discrimination. The most common ones are:

Sex/ Gender – Discrimination based on gender is called sexism. A sexist person believes that a particular gender is superior to the other.
Age – Discrimination based on age is called ageism. An ageist person believes that a particular age group is superior to the others.
Race – Discrimination based on race is called racism. A racist person believes that a particular race is superior to others.
  • sa pinas mas malakas ang discrimination, in terms of physical appearance.
