Need Help Finding a job in SG, is it worth it?

Hi.. Im new here kakaregister ko lang minutes ago.
Isa po akong government employee dito sa pinas, to be specific, teacher po ako sa isang College at around 7 years na po.
yong field ko po is Information Technology(IT), with a specialty in computer programming(but I hate web dev)..
kaso ang ayaw ko lang is sobrang slow ng growth dito sa pinas.. yung 23k is super kulang yan in the long run..

  • Hi @jamsubzero tbh, hindi ganoon kataas tingin nila sa mga degree holder dito when it comes to IT(based on my exp).

23k is definitely not enough! with 7 years of exp, you should be earning alot more kahit sa pinas pa yan.

Is it worth the risk to leave a "stable" job para makipag-sapalaran sa SG? case-to-case basis pero for me, heck yeah! specially kung single ka naman. Right now, minimum salary sa industry natin (IT) is 2600 which is 100k PHP na. Let's say 1k-1.2k SGD expenses mo per month, may atleast 50k+ PHP ka pang savings.

Kung gusto mo talagang mag work dito, I highly suggest na kumuha ka muna ng exp sa industry. Good luck kabayan and God bless.

I mean, kahit anung vacancy lng muna while nag aapply for more IT related jobs.. pa unti unit lng.

tanong ko lng, magkano need ko maka survive jan for a month?.. yung survival mode talga.
balak ko kasi mang apply jan kahit 1 month lng,.. and yeah Ive tried online, pero d namn lahat na job vacancy nasa internet.

    salamat. :)

  • 2 things:

    1. Get atleast a year or two experience in the industry, get as much as certs you need.
    2. Apply for an academe job in SG. I'm sure there are vacancies too.
