  • Yes! I tried one agency, pero ayun na nga goodbye S$ 50.00 ko.. then di na ko umulit..
  • @luis_ai060912 wow ang sakit 500sgd. anu naman ang coverage ng 500?
  • D pa nman ako nagbabayad...payment daw yun para ikey in nila resume mo sa system nila and hahanapan ka ng employer...and refundable nman daw pag dka nahanapan ng work in 30 days.

hi sa mga nag wawalk-in sa bukit merah central offices. i overheard 1 pinoy talking 1 company offer her 1900sgd. paalala lang mga kababayan yung spass minimum is 2200. kung iisipin mo malaki din yang 1900 at direct company compare mag agency kayo magbabayad pa ng mga fees. meron daw din iba tinaggap nila 1400 at direct company .
  • Hi Grace19,

Based on my experience, you can get married to your SG boyfriend here in SG so that you can obtain the Long Term Social Visit Pass. Once you get your pass, you can find a job more easier to support your families. What the company can do for you is to apply for you the LOC, Letter of Consent from the MOM, Ministry of Manpower to work.

It's a win-win situation. I myself is a Singaporean, so I just want to help out my fellow Filipino countrymen as I considered myself a half-Pinoy & embraced the wonderful Filipino culture. Hope that my suggestion can help you out & there is no need for you or your boyfriend to waste the money to pay any job agencies just to get a job unless it's confirmed that you can get a job. :-)
  • @Samantha1 I think po okay na siguro ang 1900 SGD as a salary pero I think applicable lang iyan kung ikaw ay single and dapat ka talagang mag tipid pero everything happens for a reason naman po. Kaya if pwedeng maging picky sa sweldo mas mabuti.

Andito ako sa SG ngayon, and this is my 2nd week until now, wala pa din akong nahahanap na work :( anyway...

Kanina, bago mag lunch, may nag txt sakin eto yung exact na sinabi:
"You are invited to walk-in at 10 Anson Road #26-10, International Plaza, S(079903), Mon-Sat: 2pm-3pm only. Tanjong Pagar MRT Exit C. Refundable fee $50 (Nets/cash only) Direct Hiring, no agent fee. Free work permit, S-Pass/EP application. Other jobs & quota available for foreigners." ayan edi punta naman ako, nag ayos pa ako. naka heels pa ko pmunta dun kasi nag reply sakanila, i asked if what available positions ang inoofer nila di naman sumagot kaya pinuntahan ko nalang.

same kay ate, may chinese guy din na kumausap sakin, pinabasa sakin yung papel na service offered nila nagulat ako kasi according sa txt, $50 lang ang fee tapos pagkita ko dun may $200 pa na additional so total of $250. ang explanation nya sakin, once I pay $250, they can get my resume and send it to up to 500 employers daw na partners nila. same din sayo ate, sabi nya 80% din daw and chance na ma hire ako.

naisip isip ko, $250 for just sending my resume online? you've gotta be kidding me, I can send my resume on my own! haha tapos nag kunwari ako na may tatawagan lang ako saglit, tapos bumalik ako at sabi ko " I cannot give you any money, I need to make sure that I will be hired immedietly before I give you anything" tapos binalik agad sakin yung resume ko tapos sabi nya " okay you can come back some other time" isip isip ko " NO WAY! you f@#@$$ SCAMMER!" haha choz! di man lang nya ko hinayaang mag explain pa pinaalis na ako kaagad. super obvious na pera ko lang kailangan nila. haaysss.. mahirap talaga mag hanap ng work dito noh?

    GOD BLESS!
  • nako, ingat ingat tayo dyan.

    Advisory from MOM
Job seekers are reminded that they should not pay fees to their EAs until they are successfully emplaced with an employer. MOM also reminds all licensed EAs to comply with the licensing conditions and regulations under the Employment Agencies Act (EAA). EAs are reminded to only collect fees (within the prescribed limits under the law) from clients after they have successfully placed job seekers with employers. A contravention of the EAA, may result in suspension of the licence or even revocation.
Job seekers and employers who know of persons or employers who contravene the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act or Employment Agencies Act should report the matter to MOM.

@jmac02212008 there are few job search sites...
  • Hi guys, Scam people dito sa SG laganap, yung mga nasa newspaper na nag popromote ng CSR etc. tapos may number usually scam sila, pag sa text e hingi agad sila ng application fee magtaka kana scam yan, mapa pinoy and singaporen, scam sila. nag take advantage sila sa mga pinoy na frustrated ng magkawork. .btw share ko lang exp ko.
May natanggap ako na text from josie (file uploaded) sa COLLECTIVE WORKS sila nag o-office. nagpunta ako do may alam nakong 50% scam sila. Sabi ko $30 lang ung nasa text mo sabi nia for foreigner daw $180 pinipilit nia ako magbayad nung araw na yun sabi ko i need to call my sister give 5 mins hingi ako pambayad sabi nia "No" or balik ako ng Tuesday kasi off sila ng Monday para ibigay yung pera. Siguro natakot sakin nakita ko yung panic face nia tapos bigla nag walk out and iniwan ako.
There is a possibility that the IO might question you, i read in other thread that some pinoy who went here had been question by the IO. She also declare 7 days in the DE.
  • @celyn111 Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.
While reading your thread , i would say Do good anyway.
It always pay to be a good man.
  • @celyn111 wag na wag mo papatulan yung ganyang pamemeke ng credentials it is a great NO NO....pag may nakabangga ka sa company na papasukan mo pwede gawin butas or grounds syo yun para mapatalsik ka at i ban ka dto SG at Apple to Apple ka agad.....
  • edited October 2017
Be honest. I still believe that honest hearts will be blessed. Pray lang and do no harm. Ibibigay din sayo yan. Goodluck!

  • @goblinsbride @Bert_Logan yes PO. Diko Naman xa tinuloy Kasi super natakot talaga ako. Pinipilit ako Ng agent. So binitawan nya ko... D na daw nya ko tutulungan. Anyway have you heard Po ba about hr millennium consultancy? Sa may international plaza din. Legit Po ba sila?
