Need Advice sa mga Matatagal na SG

edited May 2018 in Job Openings
Kabayans, hingi lang po ng advice.

Im a civil engineer with 17 years of experience. Nag try ako mag SG with a hope na makakahanap ako ng work dito.

Tama si bong may mga naka 3 months, and i am one before. God bless you
  • yup talagang kung gusto mo talaga magka work dto your budget must be up to 3months meron din ako dati office mate from philippines naka 3 months sila mag stay dto bago sila nagka work.....worth it naman daw ang pag aantay nila...so far they are still here at SG and surviving
  • Thank you @Bert_Logan. Pinanghihinaan lang ng loob. Buti na lang may pinoysg... Thank you ulit guys!
  • I'm not sure if Civil Engrs are in demand sa SG..especially the current economic cycle. If SG was booming then yes that would be a good time spin the wheel and try your luck. But in today's climate, mas keylangan ngayon Civil Engrs sa developing countries like Pinas...
Its not as good as before pero at least stable.

@pigsheep but that's exactly my point. It's "stable" but not growing. Foreigners in general (theoretically speaking anyway) only fill in for excess demand for any job sector and that only happens when the business cycle is in a boom, which it isn't.

After a crash or recession downturn, governments usually create demand by overspending on infra projects, so who knows, baka maka lusot when that happens....

@JuanDeLaCruz do you really think its a waste of resources to extend my stay here and just go back home?
  • @pigsheep well since ur here na why not give it another month if ur budget will allow it..

@Bert_Logan am always on the look out for MLM trolls to abuse..... hehe
  • Haha. Up to epic mlm

If your budget and patience can still handle it, feel free to keep on trying.
Basta always consider din yung stay dito na 3mos, you need 120-150k pesos, think of the other better ways to invest that amount.
  • @tambay7 @Bert_Logan @JuanDeLaCruz Thanks for the advice. decided na ako to try extend my svp.
  • wala pong 3 months na svp...they mean that there is a possibility na pwede ka mag stay up to 3 months..... via first kung makapasok ka po dto sg tatakan ng immigration ng SG ung passport mo na good for 1month you can stay......

2nd....pwede mo extend ung SVP mo thru online..at pag na approve they will allow you to stay for another month.
3rd ....pag nag mag expire na ung online SVP mo....then your choice is to go out to the neighbor country like Malaysia, Indonesia.... you can stay or balikan ....pag nakalusot ka sa immig ng nilabasan mo na country at ini allow ka ng IO dto ...then they will stamp again your PP for another month....
  • ang ginawa ko na kasi so far yung lumabas kami ng malaysia nag legoland lang, then pabalik naharang pa ako sa SG immig kala ko di ako maextend ng another 30 days pero na tatakan naman ng another 30days. prone daw kasi sa rejection yung online application for extension ng svp. salamat sa pagsagot
  • @Bert_Logan I also thought na pwede na agad I apply yung 2months extension, hindi pala ganun... Salamat naliwanagan ako...
  • Kwento ko lang mga citizens of:
    - All EU countries
    - Australia
    - Norway
    - South Korea
    - Switzerland
    - USA

...pwedeng 90 days tourist visa.
I'll give it another try, sana this time palarin na na matanggap na ako sa trabaho.
