Tanong ko lang lalo sa mga nasa software industry, naranasan nyo na ba na laging inis sa work ng walang dahilan? haha ako kasi nagiging ganto ngayon. Di ko lam pano mawala. Eto sitwasyon ko sa opis,

reseller kami ng softwares, eto ung gngawa ko sa bawat isa

software1: support
software2: support + trainer + consultant
software3: support + consultant + analysis (writing specs)

Ang malupit ln nun is ung company namin is maliit ln tapos part ng partnership, so yung partner namin customer din namin. lahat ng software nila parang kami ung it support nila. yung mga staff nila pasa work samin kahit na dapat sila ung gumagawa.

Tanong ko ln, kung nasa ganto kayong sitwasyon anong ggawin nyo?

  • @methurdss , tutal nsa IT Support ka nman, its time to look for a new job. Mas ok mag trabaho pag masaya ka and less stress (take note, "less". kasi kasama sa pag hire saten is resolve problem, so stress is always there). Of course, tender ka lang resignation pag meron na kapalit at aprub na IPA sa kabilang company. hehe.

    If laging kang burned-out at stress sa work, ang only solution is to leave and find a new one, kung saan mas rewarding ang experience at mas magiging happy ka, yun lang ang solution.

    Actually may isa pang solution, if the current process/setup ng SDLC and IT Ops niyo ay mali/pangit/mabagal/redundant/leads to bad quality product, why not change it?
    Influence them (your team, your management) na there's a lot to be improved in the current process, show them the benefits of changing the current and adopting to a new one (Agile, Scrum, DevOps!). It will be a slow process but rewarding sa experience at career mo. But if you're not the type who challenges the status quo and influence/enforce change, then yung unang advice ko ang gawin mo.
  • Pwede ka nmn humanap habang nagwwork ka, wag agad mgrresign ng walang approved pass. Sobrang hirap makahanap work ngaun.
  • salamat sa comments @RDG @tambay7 @iamannedoi mukang paghahanap nga ng bagong work ang dapat kong gawin. Nagttry ako apply2 ang nagiging problema is puro e-pass ang gusto iapply dun di na nagpprogress ung application.

    yung payo mo boss @tambay7 ginawa ko na din, tnry namin yung scrum, kaso hindi maimplement ng maayos hanggang sa umalis na ung ibang dev. haha

    try2 ko nln uli magapply, sobrang hirap nga tlga lumipat.

  • @methurdss , looking on the positive side, you still got work here in SG. And reading a lot of posts dito, madami sa kababayan naten ang nag struggle to find work. So, sit back, relax, and apply. If wla dumating, ok lang, atleast meron ka pa din bread and butter pra pang supply sa family. Always look at the bright things ika nga. hehe

    ako ay nagbabalik, salamat sa input guys!

    Sa ngayon nakahanap nko ng lilipatan, gusto ko ln humingi ng suggestion. Mageexpire na kasi ung pass ko next month ( end of month) pero ang notice ko kasi is 2 months. Tama ba na i pay in lieu ko na lang ung 2nd month notice ko since expiring na ung pass ko? Willing naman ako bumalik2 para turuan ung papalit incase hindi agad makahanap ng papalit.

  • Sayang yung 1 month if babayaran mo. I say, render ur resignation, and fulfill mo ung 2 months. Now. call na ng company yun if they will renew ur pass, pra lang matapos mo ung 2nd month. Pra sa company, the most logical thing to do is let the pass expire and end ur tenure from there. Kausapin mo si HR and ung boss mo. Nag tender knb resignation? Let them know, kasi normally 2 months before mag expire ang pass, nire-renew na ng company ung pass ng employee, if tlgang pro-active sila sa mga foreign employee nila. Lalo pa ngayon, kahit renewal, pwedeng abutin ng more than 1 month.
  • @RDG, magttender palang ng resignation once naapproved na ung pass ko. Sinabi ko na sa lilipatan ko na within 1month, so gusto ko talaga ipay in lieu kahit hindi expiring ung pass ko, kaso yun na nga next month na maexpire.

    Sa ngayon hindi pa nila nirerenew, and last renewal ko ng pass, 2 weeks before maexpire yung pass ko saka ln nila inapply for renewal.
  • @methurdss , I see. I think you have to decide once aprub na IPA. Madami kasi options na pwedeng mangyari, and sabi mo nga, hnd mo nman kakausapin pa ung company habang wla pa result ung IPA. If nag commit ka na ng 1 month notice, that leaves you no choice but to pay the 1-month in-lieu. If ok ang relationship nyo ni boss, minsan nagagawan ng paraan, like pwede nila i-technical yung expiring pass and let u walk after the pass expiration. Also, if u have AL, pwede yan pambayad sa in-lieu mo.
  • @methurdss pag ok ang boss mo, pwede nilang gawin ay anti-date yung resignation letter mo ng ilang days/weeks para mas maaga ang tapos ng notice mo

    pero kung hindi nya gagawin at napangako mo na sa bagong kumpanya na isang buwan lang ang notice mo, mapipilitan kang bayaran kung papabayaran sayo unless nga hindi ka na nila i-renew. ang prob lang ay wala pa ang IPA mo at baka mauna ang renewal mo
  • update ko ln mga mam sir, approved na new pass ko inabot ng 7days hindi kasama sat & sun.. pero 1 week ahead nagresign ndn ako and sinabi ko na bbyaran ko ng last month notice ko. hopefully maging okay ang handover.
