It was never easier or harder to find a job here in Singapore (at least simula ng naghigpit sila sa foreign talents since 2009-2010). Nasa experience, qualifications, and determination niyo po yan. Kung maganda po ang experience niyo at determined talaga kayo maghanap ng work dito, makakahanap at makakahanap kayo ng trabaho.
last September, nagbakasyon ako sa SG and to visit din ung bf kong nagwowork sa isang airline company. 5days lang stay ko. Ngaun, napagisip isip ko na gusto ko na ipursue ung paghahanap ng work sa SG. Ang worry ko, since sa Feb 2018 matatapos na ung 3mos hand over ko sa office (policy nila), paano po pag hanapan ulit ako ng company ID anung sasabihin ko? since palalabasin ko na mag tour ulit ako, baka mahuli na ko na iba agenda ko
nung umalis kasi ako na magisa, hinanapan ako ng IO dito, tapos okay na.
isa na ako sa mga nka abangers dito. Hehehe.
Ito po honestly ang nangyari sakin.
Nakuha po ako sa work with 2,200 SGD salary pero hindi po naaprove ng MoM. Nag appeal po agad si employer at ginawang 2,600 SGD ang salary. Habang naghihintay nagpunta po muna kami ni bf sa Bangkok.
Tumigil po ako magreply dito kasi si employer nangungulit na bumalik na daw ako sa SG kasi kailangan ko na daw po magwork kahit pending appeal pa. Sa mga nabasa ko dito noon, mahirap po talaga makabalik sa SG ng may pending appeal pero nagrisk ako at nagstop na ako magbasa dito kasi alam kong papagalitan nyo lang ako. Sa awa ng Diyos nakapasok naman kami ulit ni bf ng Singapore. Nagstart po ako magwork with pending appeal. Sabi po ng employer at nung pinoy din na nagwowork dun, okay lang daw yung ginagawa ko. So pinaniwalaan ko po sila at nagwork lang ako.
Pero after 2 days na nagwowork ako, nagkaron po ako ng takot kasi sinabi ng tito ko na nagwowork din sa SG, mahirap daw gumawa ng ganyan sa SG. Which I know naman na totoo. Kaya po umalis po ako sa work ko after 2 days na nagwork doon. Tinatawagan pa ako ng employer nun na bumalik ako sa kanya kaso I told them na kailangan ko muna ng proper SPASS or proper visa.
Hindi ko na po alam ang nangyari after that. Tinignan ko di naman na approve. Di ko alam kung nacacancel ba nila yung appeal or di lang talaga naaaprove. Sorry po kung may nagawa akong mali sa part ng pag alis ko sa employer pero I think ok lang naman yun kasi wala pa naman ako proper visa from the employer.
After all that happened, bumalik nalang po kami sa Bangkok at dito po kami naghanap ng work ng bf ko.
It wasn't easy din dito pero mas maluwag ang government nila. Nag-aral po muna kami pareho for 1 month para macertify as English Teachers. After that nakakuha ako ng work days after. Salary is lower than what I can get sa SG, approx 50-60k php, pero cost of living is lower sobra. So parang same lang. Mas maganda lang talaga sa SG. Si bf naman nakakuha din ng work 2 months after. We are both happily working here in Bangkok in our respective schools and we are planning on staying here for 4-6 more years. Pag teacher kasi kasi dito ang dami sobrang holidays and school breaks so nakakauwi kami sa pinas 4x a year. Tapos tig 1 month ang duration - all paid. Unlike nung contract ko noon sa SG 6 days a week, 7 days annual leave lang yata yun if I remembered correctly.
I am still very thankful sa SG experience namin, 2 months din kami naghanap ng work, na explore yung SG, nakakilala ng mabubuti at medyo mabubuti na Pilipino. It's an experience we will never forget. Siguro hindi lang talaga kami meant to be for SG, and we are grateful for that. Kasi kung natuloy SG ko edi ako lang sana may work at si bf umuwi sana sa Pinas tapos LDR sana kami. Siguro blessing in disguise na rin. We will still come back to SG with our families for tour and travel purposes nalang. Sg will always have a place in our hearts.
PS. Salute po sa inyong mga Filipino na nagwowork ngayon sa SG at sa mga job hunters na nagbabalak palang pumunta sa SG. My advice lang is kapag kaya nyo emotionally and financially, go lang ng go kasi you'll never know how far you can you go. Minsan masusurprise nalang kayo sa kung nasan kayo. Just always pray din po and stay positive!!

grats at nakahanap ka ng work jan sa bkk. Di talaga para sayo ang sg at may better kang opportunity sa ibang bansa. ang hirap sa sg employer mo 6days a week at 7 days annual leave? usually mga local company yan madamot. tapos yung salary dinidiclare hindi naman totoo binabayad.
