  • @paopo21

Thanks for replying! If not 2017, then what would be the best year po in your opinion? :)

Altho I think we might still give it a try. Hopefully we are lucky enough to land a job. *crossed fingers*
  • not easy, pero with the right skills and knowing your strengths and how to play your card may mga malalaki pa din ang chance.
  • Hi @tambay7 thanks so much! You don't know how much your positive words mean to me. Nakakalakas ng loob magtry ng magtry. Thank you! Will do our best and we will keep you updated with our results. Whew.

:D It may be very hard, but I know we'll make it. :) #YanAngSpirit lol
You can try parin kasi dalawa kayong maghahanap na trabaho baka isa sa inyo swertehin or kayong dalawa ang swertehin.

Believe in yourself and ALWAYS PRAY. Wala nang mas magandang panahon kundi ngayon

    @qwaszx, @arvs0z, @reyven, @AhKuan

Tama lahat ng sinabi nila. Though taghirap ngayon sa SG, palagi namang may demand. Basta maximise mo lang stay mo dito. Wag magsasayang ng oras.

If it's for you, malay mo. Hindi mo malalaman if di mo susubukan.

Everything falls into the right places, yung perang panggastos, yung support ng family namin, mentally, emotionally and financially prepared kami kumbaga. Wala kami kakilala dito. So talagang we started from scratch. Haha.

In the end, though there are few misfortunes na nangyari dahil kinailangan namin magexit at nahold kami ng immigration, in a span of 1.5 months, nagkawork kami parehas.

Now, yung work namin parehas ay 5 days a week lang, ok ang pasweldo, may health insurance at magaan ang trabaho.

Go lang.

Good luck to you and your partner.

  • @paopo21 Hi! Thank so much for the heads up regarding sa Singapore economy ngayon.. Will keep that in mind. And thanks so much for the 'goodluck'. That means a lot. :)

@reyven Thanks! Medyo okay naman financially. Will practice more on emotional nalang haha.

@arvs0z Wow. Thanks so much for replying. Haha, you're right. Masyado akong positive na tao. Thanks! Will try more on MNCs din. Hindi naman kami nawawalan ng pagasa. Thank you!

@jrdnprs Actually I have been following your posts here in pinoysg. Super nainspired din talaga ako dahil almost same tayo ng story. And you made it. So kakayanin din namin. Kahit pa gaano katagal. hehe. I know it might be different this year than last year but we are not losing any hope naman.

Pero you managed to make it without any help kaya nakakainspire talaga. Ask ko lang san kayo nagstay? hehe.

@qwaszx , we rented a common room. Hindi kami naghotel. Super mahal ng hotel ee. Madami naman nagpapasublet dito kahit 1-2 mos lang. Buhay pa yung lumang PinoySG nun, dun kami nagstart.

Kaya nakalusot kahit walang hotel reservation. But mas ok if may ipapakita kasi nga ang higpit ng IO satin sa Pinas. Samantalang dito sa SG, on your first entry, iwewelcome ka with a smile. LOL. Yung iba nakakatatlong entry di nagkakaproblema.
  • @jrdnprs Haha ok thanks! Sayang di ko na naabutan lumang pinoysg. Pero kahit couple kayo pumunta madami padin tanong IO right? Whew. Kinakabahan ako pero nakaka excite din at the same time. Sana swertehin sa IO at sa trabaho.

Lastly, yung common room po ba is you, your GF and others all together? Or kayo lang? Or dun na mismo pag dating? Haha. sorry. Medyo limited pa knowledge ko sa accomodations
  • edited December 2016
@qwaszx, medyo madami tanong samin IO sa Pinas. Pero since legit naman na couple kayo, for sure same kayo ng isasagot sa tanong nila. Kaya wag masyado kabahan. Yung iba kasi nagpapanggap na couple kaya nahuhuli.

Yung room is nakuha namin nung nasa Pinas pa kami.

Yung room is solo namin ni GF.

  • @jrdnprs Hi thanks and sorry for the late reply.

So meaning po ba hindi kami pwede mag tiger air kasi mag apply palang kami as tourist? Balik Cebu pac nalang? hehe.

Or bad move ito since baka makakonti pa sya sa 30 days...

Sorry dami nanaman tanong. I just want to be super ready po pagdating. Sayang kasi once in a life time lang ito for us
  • Hi @qwaszx

    1. Pwede kang mag book ng kahit anong airline going to SG. Make sure meron kang return ticket to PH. Usually 4 days ang pagitan.

    2. Make another email for job hunting purposes. Dun mo isave lahat ng impt files mo--- resumé, scanned certificates, tor, diploma, jpeg 1x1 photo, etc. You wont need to print it naman since online ka rin magpapasa.

Pwede mo itago yung docs mo sa check in baggage. Ibalot mo sa towel.

    3. What are your experiences? Work exp ang labanan dito vs other applicants.

    4. PH IO- ACT LIKE A LEGIT TOURIST. Casual outfit, bring company ID (kung meron ka pa), cash (if ever kailanganin ng show money), and make sure na consistent ang sagot mo sa IO. You need to convince them that youre going here for vacation.

Reserve a hotel room, yung pwedeng 'Pay in the hotel'. Print out mo, if hanapin ng IO ipakita mo.
  • Hi Ms. @mariel89

I've been following your success stories and wanting to send you a personal message for so long na but for some reason hindi kita ma-PM, dunno why.

    Anyway, thanks for replying.

I will make another email now na. Thanks so much.

    ---

just want to share our plan. Please please let me know po kung may mali or may maiimprove pa.

    2. Magtour nalang talaga kami kasi binayaran naman namin sya. and then yung flight pauwi di nalang kami sipot?
    3. Since may accommodation na kami dun na hotel, pwede habang nasa hotel kami dun nalang kami hanap ng flat na matutuluyan namin for the next 27 days? Mag apply na din kami online before and after the tours para sulit.

Sorry sobrang dami kong tanong. Gusto lang po talaga naming handa. hehe.
  • 1-2. Okay lang mag-tour habang nagjjob hunting. But remember, sa 30 days svp, ibawas mo dun public holiday/s and weekends--walang hr.

    3. Meron dito Accommodation section, hanap kayo ng walang 1 mo advance depo. Or pwede naman makipag negotiate sa main tenant.

    4. Yup, bili agad ng sim.

    5. Usually Dec-Jan ang freeze hiring dito.
  • Hi ma'am! Thanks again! Super appreciated!

  • This thread has been very helpful, will try my luck next year.

@rzaldua prc-issued license? Hmm i think, di yata. Unless you have license reciprocity. Work experience ang laban natin dito pagdating sa job hunting.
  • @mariel89 professional Microsoft certifications po, MCP/MCSA to be exact. My overall exp of IT related work would be 6 years next year. would it be a good foundation to apply na?

Tapos i read sa one of your replies here sa forum na iniisa isa mo lahat ng fnb establishments tapos chat and call them inquiring kung meron pa silang quota for foreigners.

And yes, chat and call ko mga establishments.

@rzaldua not sure.better ask mga kabayan nating nsa IT industry
  • @mariel89 mag-isa ka lang po ba nagtravel? At may kakilala po ba kayo na tinuluyan nyo? or sariling sikap nyo po lahat? Wala po kasi kaming kakilala. Sugal talaga. but thanks for replying!
    --

Question din po sana regarding sa IO, nagbabasa basa po ako ngayon sa internet and parang ang dami pong tourists na nahihirapan umalis pag bound for Singapore.

Bali may layover sya sa Malaysia? or it would make no difference din?

    @qwaszx
  • @mariel89 Ahh okay po so to begin with nariyan na po sa SG bf nyo po? Buti pa kayo. kami as in start from scratch pero hindi naman kami nawawalan pagasa.

    ---

    ---

Again super sorry for all the questions.
  • @qwaszx

Isipin mo yung future interviews and work pass application mo. Claim it hehehe
  • @mariel89

Thanks so much! Tama po kayo, cineclaim ko na. Haha. Just want to be knowledgeable lang din sa mga process. Nakakahilo pero mas mahirap kasi kapag wala kang ka-alam alam. Planning to visit sg as tourist kami ng bf ko by july. Kaso tamad sya magbasa basa kaya super effort ako. haha. Wala kaming kakilala. Thanks so much for all your replies. Super duper appreciated!
