  • Finding a job in 2017. Is it harder?

    @qwaszx, @arvs0z, @reyven, @AhKuan

Tama lahat ng sinabi nila. Though taghirap ngayon sa SG, palagi namang may demand. Basta maximise mo lang stay mo dito. Wag magsasayang ng oras.

If it's for you, malay mo. Hindi mo malalaman if di mo susubukan.

Everything falls into the right places, yung perang panggastos, yung support ng family namin, mentally, emotionally and financially prepared kami kumbaga. Wala kami kakilala dito. So talagang we started from scratch. Haha.

In the end, though there are few misfortunes na nangyari dahil kinailangan namin magexit at nahold kami ng immigration, in a span of 1.5 months, nagkawork kami parehas.

Now, yung work namin parehas ay 5 days a week lang, ok ang pasweldo, may health insurance at magaan ang trabaho.

Go lang.

Good luck to you and your partner.

  • Finding a job in 2017. Is it harder?

@qwaszx , recently I have been a silent reader here. LOL.

I remember answering your queries for quite sometime. I don't know if you still remember.

You are so positive. Good thing yan. Claim it.

Flashback: I remember my gf pushing me almost everyday to try our luck here sa SG last year. Sya din yung sobrang risk taker saming dalawa. Syempre ako tong takot, ayoko talaga. Pero in the end, I must say na yung risk ng pagpunta namin dito yung isa sa mga turning point ng buhay naming dalawa. Ngayon, nagiipon na ko ng pampakasal namin. LOL.

Ang motto namin nun ay, kung makahanap ng work, thank you Lord. Kung hindi, thank you Lord pa din.

Tama ka, maging successful man o hindi, it will be a very meaningful time sa buhay nyo ng bf mo. At least magkasama kayo na susubok.

I can only wish you and your bf good luck.

Kung hindi nyo susubukan, "what ifs?" will haunt you for the rest of your lives.

    :)

  • Got rejected twice

@Dirows, good luck sayo.

A year ago, we were in the same position like you na nagbabakasakali.

Anyways, as long as nagrere-appeal yung employer, wag ka mawalan ng pag-asa. Malay mo makalusot. :)

    God bless to you.

  • Feeling Left Out

Same kami ni @arvs0z ng way of living. LOL.

30% for recurring expenses here in SG and sa PH
10% for luho and other gastos
60% for savings (minsan less, never naging more)

Iwas iwas sa mga malls kasi nakakatukso. :)

  • Structural Engineer

Tag 50k kami. Kumasya naman sya good for 1.5 mos. In short may mga sidetrips kami. Tapos nagdagdag pa kami ng P30k kasi syempre, hindi ka ssweldo agad, you have to work for the day na nahire ka up to katapusan, then saka palang 1st pay mo.

May separate thread dito na expenses in SG good for 1 month.

    http://pinoysg.net/discussion/1296/sg-expenses-good-for-1month#latest

Kami, sakto lang so maiaadvise ko sayo yung 50k very workable.

Yung accomodation, magbedspace ka, yung ALL-IN. Wifi, PUB (electricity and tubig), landline. Para wala ka na problemahin.

The bigger pocket money, the better.
Kasi syempre, hindi ka assured na makakakuha ng work within a month.

  • Ano mas matimbang sa MOM: ung tinapos na kurso or yung Work Experience?

:(. If I were you, gagamitin ko na lang yung tinapos ko as Nurse. Kaso one thing pa ulit, Nursing Aide magiging work mo dito if ever (under work permit yata to) medyo maliit sweldo. Pero may nabasa akong news na magbuboom ulit yung healthcare industry dito for the next few years.

    http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/30-000-more-healthcare-workers-needed-by-2020-as-population-ages/3221526.html

Fair work practice kasi dito SG, rare yung case ng "underemployment". Dito malabo.

    Yun lang. :)

https://services.mom.gov.sg/sat/satservlet, pwede mo i-assess yung sarili mo using this. Ginamit ko yan nung nagapply ako dito. So far medyo magagauge mo na if maaapprove ka o hindi.

  • Undergrad with 10 years experience

@Knight69 I can't answer that for you.

  • Spass application status

IPA lang saka passport. Pero need mo pa din mag-fill up ng D/E card. Last time ininvite ako sa office to verify the IPA. No need to worry if papuntahin ka office. Congratulations.
