  • Looking for a job in Singapore on Feb 27.

    stereotyped kasi ang "call center" na term sa buong mundo. image of a person who has headset and answering phone calls. In terms of skills, nababalewala na kasi "call center" agad imahe.

    Meron akong kilala, sa pinas super lupet nya na techsupport ng enterprise laser printers. Skills-wise, napakalupit nya, andami nyang certification.

Never use "Call Center Agent" dito.

  • Applying for another job..I need your advice guys

    @suezo - Kabayan, apply ka muna then pag napparub work pass mo then saka ka magresign. wla na silang magagawa nun pag me bago ka ng work pass :)

    Humingi kaba ng appraisal? kung exceeding expectations naman ang deliverables mo, wag ka mahihiya humingi ng raise. isa sa mga natutunan ko kasi dito sa SG is minsan ang employer ay reactive, not proactive. Kelangan nating magsalita or mag-open up.

    Good luck!

  • I need any suggestions or tips during travel or some Immigration Question Tips.

    @thejermenation

    pag ba nag apply kami dun hahanapan po ba kmi credentials? - kung nag-aaply plang ng work, no. kung natanggap na sa work, yes. i-aaply ka ng company ng work pass dito and needed na ang mga school docs mo.

    Tpos baka mkita pag nasa immigration po. - pede mo ilagay sa checked-in para di mo na bitbit sa immigration. pero i-risk mo lang kung mawala ang luggage.

    red ribbon - hindi ko pinalagyan ng ganyan yung aken. kung anu lang binigay sken ng school ko yun na yun.

    Good luck!

    @thejermenation

    And yes, first time namin lahat. But based sa work, kami lang nang pinsan ko ung employed. Ung magpinsan na kasama namin is unemployed and student. - company IDs at student ID dalin nalang. ung unemployed pag tinanong basta sabihin nya tour lang at vacation.

    pano po pag walang credit card? - ok lang basta me enough cash to cover your stay

    debit card - yan pwede din yan

    And pag show money po, mga how much po kaya estimated na pumasa sa Immigration? - not really sure on this pero ako hinanapan ng show money dati for a 5-day trip and pinakita ko is 30,000 pesos at 1 credit card at resibo na bayad na ang hotel.

    passbook - alam ko hindi naman to magagamit overseas so walang bearing

    Tpos kelangan pba nang ITR? - hindi po

    guided tour naman ika nga ni @goblinsbride so relax lang. who know wala naman palang tanung-tanung na mangyayari. just be ready in case.

    @thejermenation - Singapore Christmas vacation wow! Enjoy your stay here!

    ung tour guide nyo bakit nyo pa isasama? kakilala? anu yan binayaran nyo separately? or kasama sa package? kailangan nyo ba talaga ng tour guide OR sinama nyo pa para mapanatag loob nyo sa PH IO?

    Lahat ba kayo is first time out of the country? kung yes, be ready for questioning. Based sa karanasan ng halos lahat ng mga kakilala ko na girl na perstym lumalabas ng bansa, it is SOP for questioning (unless tamad si PH IO) to prevent prostitution and/or human trafficking. Dito maaaring pumasok ang tanong na employed kaba, anu gagawin mo sa Singapore, hindi naman kayo maghahanap ng trabaho etc.

    Common things na pede hanapin:
    Return tickets
    Accommodation
    Show money/Credit cards

    Kung hindi nyo naman perstym, mukang swabe lang yan kasi holiday season naman nun so in general, dapat maluwag sila for tourists.

    Suggestion ko is relax lang, pormang turista at walang kakaba-kaba.

    Good luck!
