Help me decide: Stay or Leave
Hi kabayans, need your advice or suggestions regarding my current situation now here in Singapore. My TWP or training work permit is about to end/expire this month. Kahit gusto pa ako I extend ng Amo ko wla na sila qouta. I've tried sending online applications pero wala talaga. Mahirap ng makahanap ng work nung wala pang COVID paano pa Kaya ngayon. Due to these unfavorable circumstances, I left no choice but to accept the reality that I'm done being an OFW until nag offer Yung previous school ko to extend my study for another 6 months. Meaning pwede maextend Yung stay ko sa Singapore. Please help me decide whether accept the offer or back to PH na. My possibility pa ba ng makahanap ng trabaho dito sa SG?

Hello po Maya, if I aacept ko po I need to go to school everyday for 3 hours magiging foreign student po kasi ulet ako. Buti na Lang po pumayag pa rin Yung Amo ko na mag work ako sa kaniya kahit half day Lang everyday
Checking po if worth it Yung gastos ulet since need ko magbayad ng tuition fee
medyo di ako familiar sa situation mo. pwede ba magwork pag student pass? tsaka pag twp ata hanggang 6mos lang pwede magstay? tapos need to exit for a period of time dapat nasa labas ng sg pagkaexpire ng 6mos?
how much gagastusin mo for 6mos? if kaya ng budget, at wala ka lalabagin na batas, go. pero sa panahon kasi ngayon, napakauncertain dahil sa crisis. tapos dba close na din schools ngayon?

ang isang problem mo din kasi ngayon ay ang pauwi. limited din ang byahe pauwi ng pinas kung meron man. meron akong nakitang post ng travel agency sa lucky plaza re flights to pinas though hindi ko alam ang details
if may chance ka maka stay sa sg at may extra pera ka why not just stay. marami pa mangyari sa 6mos mo.
Hello po @kabo, @maya and @Samantha1 thank you po sa advices. Yun din po iniisip ko Kung uuwe ako ng Pinas for sure wala din po work na makukuha as of now. Medyo malaki din kasi need bayaran sa school. Ang habol ka Lang din talaga makapgstay pa ng matagal dito. I gagrab ko na Lang po Yung offer Sana this time makahanap na po ako ng stable work dito sa SG
@JaypeePro mag -extend ka muna ng another 6months, they try mo ulit maghanap ng work, be patient. Pray and God will give the desire of your heart! God bless

@JaypeePro Inde po pwedeng may dalawang pass ka dito. Sa kalagayan mo, kapag inapply ka nung employer mo ng spass, magiging void na yung student pass mo. Magiging full time ka sa work at part time na estudyante.
ang mahalaga maka stay ka muna dto ng matagal kung kaya mo naman mag aral ka muna ska ka na muna ulit sumubok mag hanap ng trabaho dahil sa panahon ngayon mdami magtaganggalan at magbabawas dhil sa salot na sakit

@AhKuan so, possible po na iaapply ako ng Spass kahit student pass ang hawak ko ngayon? Need to cancel Lang Yung student pass?

Thinking about earning some extra cash while in school? Well think again, because there are quite a few working restrictions for Student Pass holders.
Firstly, if you’re an exchange student, you cannot work while studying in Singapore.
Next, as foreign students, you are only allowed to work a maximum of 16 hours a week during the school term.
During vacation, you can work without a work pass so long as you are above 14 years old, holding a student pass and a fully matriculated student at any of the approved schools.
Simply put, you are only allowed to work if you fulfil the criteria set out by the Ministry of Manpower.

@JaypeePro Yup possible po na iapply ka nung kumpanya ng work pass kaya lang sa kalagayan mo, mas gugustuhin nila na wag magbayad ng levy kaysa magbayad. Hence mas gugustuhin nila na student pass ka kaysa sa work pass.
