ANY tips or recommendations on how to land a job in SG for first timers

Hi All!
While reading about SG, i came up with this forum. I am planning po sana to try my luck next yr (2019). ANY tips on how to land a job in SG for first timers? By the way po I am a registered Electronics & communications engineer and currently having a training in CCNA or cisco. I dont have an experience in line with ece and my current work is not related to ece so I'm afraid na baka wala akong makita na work sa SG. Kaya po ako nagtake din ng training for cisco para atleast dumami naman laman ng resume ko and they said na known daw doon ang CCNA. :-) I will appreciate any comments thanks po.

  • @jluz on planning dapat positive ka! also my A,B or C. mag start ka na mag-apply online to know ur competency.
  • @jluz - having a valid CCNA certificate is definitely a plus. Kung valid CCNA ka e di ka maghihirapan maghanap ng work dito pero i suggest din na before ka pumunta dito e mag apply ka na online.
  • @Zell hi thank u for your suggestion :-) after our training probably july, I am planning to take the ccna exam maybe november or december. So ano po sa tingin nyo ? so mas ok po na mga december 2018 magstart na po ako mag apply through online. Then antay nalang po muna kung may mag feedback for interviews bago pumunta sa SG.
  • @carpejem hi thank u for your suggestion :-) may i know some legit websites na pwd pong applyan for SG?
  • @jluz - I suggest 1 or 2 months before ka pupunta nag sg e mag apply ka na online kasi need mo mag plan/ ipon bago pumunta dito kasi magastos tapos yung plane ticket price ba nagbabago yan.
  • @Zell thank u so much sa information. wala kasi akong kakilala sa SG kaya i'm collecting ideas to prepare for next yr plans :-) baka pwd makuha facebook nyo? if okay lang for future questions? :-) but if not okay lang din po.

Make it concise, 1-2 page lang. You need alot of patience, mental and emotional strength not to mention money.

Sa date ng pag punta sa sg, ill advise na 1 to 2 months after chinese new year, ng reason ay maraming umalis at nag rereset daw yung quota.

    Good Luck bro.

Kontakin mo pala kung sino man kilala mo sa sg they might help you kahit papaano.
Websites as follows:
    Jobstreet
    Linkedin
    JobsDB
    Jobs.com.sg
    Glassdoor
    Indeed
    Monster
    Company's career section

    All the best!
  • @rksg123 babae nga pala ako. Hehe but anyways thank you po sa mga advice and suggestions it will really help me in the future. Just all my luck lang.
  • @Vincent17 currently technology consultant po more like SAP pero di SAP. Sa TIBCO side po kami.
  • @iamannedoi thank you sa websites godbless you more especially yung tumutulong sa kapwa pinoys :-)
May nakita kasi ako sa mga online like jobstreet no experience required training will be provided for entry level positions.

@jluz eto pang masasabi ko, there is always a chance, kaya hindi masama magtry pero ang question dyan eh ganong kalaki ang chance? Yeah they will provide training pero most probably eh eto yung internal process nila, eto yung specifics doon sa role, application na ginagamit ng company and some in-house stuffs na company specifics.

What i meant by experience is yung general experience mo, like for example, networking, firewall management, cyber security, appication support, production support, release manager, testing, etc.

Applyan mo.

  • @rksg123 thank you for your detailed informations godbless po
