PENDING SPASS DIRECT HIRE HERE IN PH BUT WANT TO FLY AS OFW

Hi All,

  • You can apply via POEA, but according sa mga experience ng iba, medyo mabagal and hassle daw. You might want to go there directly to know the current process, kasi pabago bago mga protocol.

What I will do is wait for the pass to be approved, then pag meron kna IPA, you go cross country. Pinas to Hongkong or Thailand. All the docs, ilagay sa check in luggage pra magka silipan man ng hand carry, wla sila makikita. Then pag nsa Hk or Thai kna, lipad na papunta SG. This time, ung IPA should be hand carry, kasi eto ung ipapakita mo sa SG IO. Hindi ka na ma A to A nyan kasi eligible ka for 1-time entry permit. Nakalagay yan sa IPA mo.

If you want to be safer at na trauma sa A to A experience, you go via the POEA processing.

Thank you po.

May Direct Hire po sila, and dami nga reqts. Hehe.
Nag email kasi ako sa ICA, nagtanong ako if banned kami ng sister ko after nmin ma-refuse to enter SG last March.

Thank you for your reply on 19 April 2018.

A visitor's entry into Singapore is neither a right nor automatic and each entry is considered on its own merits. The grant of Visit Passes to visitors is assessed and determined by the ICA officers at the Singapore checkpoints upon their arrival. Visitors must fulfil the prevailing entry requirements and may be subjected to interview and additional checks before they can be considered for entry. Those who are ineligible for a Visit Pass will be refused entry.

If you and your sister intend to visit Singapore in future, you are required to submit an application for a Visit Pass through a local sponsor who must be either a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 21 and above, or a Singapore-registered company. The application should be made to the Visitor Services Centre, 4th Storey, ICA Building, 10 Kallang Road, Singapore 208718 for consideration. The following documents are required for the application:

    a) Application Form 14 & V39I (duly completed & signed);
    b) Photocopies of your passport pages showing the biodata page and signature; and
    c) Photocopies of a local sponsor's Singapore identity card (for application via post).

You are required to state clearly the reason or purpose for your entry and duration of visit on the Form 14. You may also include any other supporting documents that you deem relevant to support your application. The application will be assessed on its own merits and the local sponsor will be notified by post when the outcome is known.

We refer to your email on 26 July 2018.

Please be informed that a foreigner producing a valid In-Principle Approval (IPA) for an immigration facility / pass (e.g. Long Term Visit Pass, Employment Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, etc) does not automatically gain entry into Singapore.

As conveyed in our earlier email, you are required to submit an application for a Visit Pass through a local sponsor prior to your next entry to Singapore, for consideration. The application will be assessed on its own merits.

Please note that the application for a Visit Pass must be approved before you seek entry into Singapore. We wish to highlight that this application is different from a work pass in-principle letter (IPA) letter issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

You may refer to our earlier email for the application procedures.

    Thank you.

    Yours sincerely

  • @Aleliejane07 , I believe thats an Entry Pass Visa. Your IPA grants you 1-time entry visa to SG. Nakalagay yan sa MOM. Ofcourse, the ICA will always require for you to apply for that Entry Pass as per policy, but your IPA will be a legal document for you to enter SG. Wla naman mawawala kung gagawin mo yang cnsbi ni ICA, but based on other friends experience, IPA is good enough para makapasok sila sa SG. Eto po attached screenshot from MOM website, for your peace of mind:
  • Eto pa @Aleliejane07 , talagang chineck ko pa ung IPA ko last year. haha. nkalagay din dun na meron 1-time entry visa ang IPA:
    IPA.jpg 36.3K
I showed u lahat ng black and white na nakalagay sa MOM website and my actual IPA, pra atleast kumalma ka. hehe
  • @RDG hehe, thank you po. :)
  • Ok, balitaan mo kami pag nkapasok kna dito sa SG. All the best sayo!
  • Medyo general yung reason nila.

  • yup, appeal is more like re-applying the pass. What I mean by "adding more docs / info" is kung alam nyo ang reason for rejection, then makapag concentrate ang company dun. Like if sbhin na educ certs is suspicious. Anyway, if naipasa na yan ni company, all you can do now is pray.
  • edited August 2018
@Aleliejane07 eh sa salary offered?or quota ng company? or typo error sa details na sinubmit?
  • edited August 2018

@carpejem , @RDG

Approved na po ang SPASS ko. Ako po ung sister ni @Aleliejane07 . Pabalik na po ako ng Singapore nextweek. Lalabas po ako dto sa PH as OFW then papasok dn me sa Singapore as employed kasi may IPA po ako. But they can't guarantee na makapasok ako kasi hndi naman dw sila ang Immigration Officer na magdedecide about dun. Narefuse to enter in Singapore dw ako dati dhil tourist ako nun at overstay..

If you and your sister intend to visit Singapore in future, you are required to submit an application for a Visit Pass through a local sponsor who must be either a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 21 and above, or a Singapore-registered company.

kuha sa ikalawang sagot sa liham
As conveyed in our earlier email, you are required to submit an application for a Visit Pass through a local sponsor prior to your next entry to Singapore, for consideration. The application will be assessed on its own merits.

Please note that the application for a Visit Pass must be approved before you seek entry into Singapore. We wish to highlight that this application is different from a work pass in-principle letter (IPA) letter issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
  • @anettey09 , If lalabas ka sa Pinas as OFW, make sure na wag mong ipapakita ang kontrata ng hindi dumadaan sa POEA, meaning kelangan mo ng OEC pra makalabas ka sa Pinas as an OFW. If IPA lang ang meron ka at contract offer from ur company, I suggest take the tourist way. Kelan ka ba huling lumabas ng Pinas?

Now sa pagpasok ng SG. I already told ur cousin my take. So backread k nlng. Either way, if u can get that Entry Visit Visa will be great. But IPA should be good enough.
  • Inemail ko na po sa employer ko ung inemail smen ng ICA. then tumawag nga sila sken ung HR na they cant guarantee na makapasok ako pero as far as they know, legal naman lahat papers ko at IPA is enough na dw.

  • then ung snsbe dw na visit pass sa email smen ng ICA is for tourist dw or may business trip.
