  • habang may buhay, may pag-asa!

    Samantha1

    Samantha1
  • tama sila.. meron laging pag asa..

    1. Ayusin mo resume - May summary, specialties, key achievements, key roles. Dapat quantifiable mga achievements (e.g. Increased application performance by 92%). Use action verbs. ATS/bot friendly. Reduce to 1-3 pages.
    2. Ayusin mo Linkedin, Jobstreet, JobsDB, etc
    3. Mag-ipon ka ng job openings and recruiter contacts - isang linggo bago flight mo, apply-an mo lahat at kontakin mga recruiter. Sabihan mo sila kelan ka available for interview.
    5. Research the company
    6. Research the interviewer (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook)

During interview naman:

    1. Be 30 minutes on time - gamitin mo yung 1st 15 mins to ask around sa reception, looking at company brochures. Know more about the company
    2. Seat comfortably and look the interviewer in the eye
    3. 70/30 listening/talking ratio - listen more when possible at huwag matakot magtanong
    4. Be polite and honest - huwag maangas at sinungaling... kung hindi alam, sabihin... huwag putulin ang nagsasalita
    5. Where do you see yourself 5 yrs from now? What is your weakness? What is your goal? Why should I hire you? Tell me why you're fit for the job. <<< maghanda ka ng sagot
Do you have a target salary range for this role?. Bottomline, be the last to give numbers

I own an IT company sa SG kaya this ^^^

  • Thank you everyone! is it best to approach agencies in singapore or just continue applying to job boards? parang dami po kasing kakompetensiya. @nubrid you own an IT company in SG? :)

Any opinion po is greatly appreciated thanks

S-pass = need may quota ung company
E-pass = unli hire as long as pumasa ka sa criteria ng E-pass

ung goverment (EmOwEm) ung final boss haha, hinde ung hiring company

  • @gmmulawin yes. Sa Web Development ang specialization namin. Established 2012.

You definitely need the help of an agency pero hindi mo kailangan mag-stick sa isa lang. Agencies in SG have access to clients who are otherwise beyond our reach.

The best way to get hired is to get referred.

  • Im on my 2nd week here in SG and so far wala pa din good news sa apply ?

  • @nubrid, woooow, ang yaman mo pala! by the way please, how do I find these agencies? thank you!

  • @Concon-chan think positive marami pa naman good news gaya ng di ka naapektuhan ng virus...isa na good news un...just keep sending your application via job portal the more entries you send the more chances of winning...wag lang kalimutan maglakip ng balat ng limang piraso ng tide or joy.

Entries without supporting balat ng items specified will not be count as lucky entry.

    lol

  • @gmmulawin sa LinkedIn ako nakaipon ng recruiters.

Mayaman sa utang, Yes. Pero good debt sya, i.e. ginagamit sa investment o negosyo.

  • @Bert_Logan, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Good vibes po kayo. @nubrid, LODI po kayo. Through an agency ba kayo nakahanap ng job?

  • @gmmulawin majority, yes. XD

  • Hi. :(

  • @gmmulawin antay lang ng tawag pero tuloy pa ring ang pagpasa. at after ilang days na walang tawag, pwede ka namang mag-follow up

  • @kabo. thank you po. ganito po din kasi ung ibang employer. huhuhu. yung isang employer, di pa ako naiinterview parang nag offer na ng job pero dapat naka dependant's pass daw ako. sana nga this time mag push ito kahit wala pa akong feedback kung ano ang nangyari. :(

    good luck

    carpejem
  • @charycabz woooow! thanks for the tip. did you send even without opening or only when there is opening or vacancy? :)

    Cases 167 and 178
