  • JOB-Hunting Websites

    - transient cost > 300-400 / month
    - daily budget for travel, food etc (kapiraso lang naman akong kumain) > morning till evening food (kung sa labas ang bawat kain) and travel cost siguro $20 - $25 per day
    - application strategies (like waiting time) > be prepared, be confident, be honest, waiting time can be 2weeks to 4weeks, plus pa yung pass approval na possble few days to 2 months in some cases.
    - and how long should I stay there to get a job > to some 1 month is enough, to some hindi, payo ko eh kung umabot ng 30days hindi ka pa hired, ihanda mo na ang budget mo for your 2nd to 3rd month.

  • Please help me i need expert opinion

  • Need Advice on Returning to SG

@reeaahh kapag andito ka na based at ma experience mo yung mga balita na may mga kababayan na tinatakbuhan ang mga bills sa telco, bank/lender loans, credit card bills, pati installments sa Courts (appliance store, for an ultra wide ultra-thin, smart TV they don't need, a camera they don't know how to use, an expensive phone they cannot afford, a high-end laptop that they use just to browse) tinatakbuhan, ay naku ewan ko lang kung di kumulo dugo mo. Worried ka sa racism di ba, yan ang isa sa all too common na magiging prejudice sayo kapag andito ka na, thanks to all kababayans who came before you na ginawa yan.

  • Mahirap ba talaga maghanap ng work sa SG kapag fresh grad?

difficult to say @Grace19 believe it or not may mga pinay college graduates dito na domestic helper ang trabaho, or mga nasa f&b service sector kahit board passers pa sa atin, lack of choice kasi sumabak dito ng walang experience.
you have to understand yung logic behind getting foreign workers, to fill the expertise na hindi ma fill ng local supply, kung fresh graduate ka at marami din lokal na fresh graduates or may mga experience pa nga, syempre yun ang kukunin.

para sa mga foreigner na naghahanap ng trabaho dito, don't rely too much on your degree na most of the time tingin ng mga taga dito ay hindi at par sa degree nila, may stigma pa din kasi na mababa ang kalidad ng education sa atin and ibang system din kasi ang pina follow nila, kaya mas solid na ammunition ang experience.

understandable na you both want to be together kaya minamadali pero career wise and in the long run hindi magiging mabuti sayo kung tatanggap ka ng trabaho na hindi in-line sa degree mo, empower yourself girl! don't let the flames of love ruin your career prospect, love can wait. lalalalala

  • Karanasan: bedspace, room and house sharing experiences =>

Mga nakakalimot ng mga pinaghubadan sa banyo honest mistake ba or sinadya for you, just let your imagination fly.

Enjoy mo na lang, eventually sa kakalipat you'll end up on a quite/peaceful household, and most importantly makisama ng maayos, do your part sa pag maintain ng household.

  • How much salary should I ask?

kidding aside, @prnc02 habang mababa pa ang sweldo, invest on yourselves muna, learn, educate yourself, hone your skills, at the same time save up for rainy days. Empower yourselves.

  • Best time to Apply Job in SG

The best time to apply is when you're ready and at your best. Wala sa season, nasa sa iyo. A good candidate is employable any time of the year.
