Job Offered; Should I follow up?

Mga bro, so may job offer na through phone call. Hiningi na nila requirements via email (digital copy/picture ng diploma, passport, etc). 1 week na nakalipas and I haven't heard back from them yet.

Is this supposed to be normal? Should I just wait? Or call the office to follow up?

@kingofalltrades In my case, 3rd week ako naka recieved ng phone call for job offer. They called me to inform that first level of approval for my job offer has been approved so diniscussed agad sakin thru phone call, and waiting nalang daw ng higher level of approval, ininform ko sila about my visa status na malapit na maexpired. The next week (4th week) nag follow up ako, same wala parin daw. So nag decide ako apply thru online ng extension. Nung na approved ininform ko sila. The next day pinapunta na ako office nila for signing ng contract. Keep your communication open sa company mo, ok lang mag follow up and do consistent updates with them as well about your plan esp if ur in svp.

@isorn4x I see, actually 1 and a half week pa lang waiting ko since the 'job offer' call. Nag follow-up ako 2 days ago and they said my application was already submitted and they're still waiting for response and will let me know daw. Anyway, ano reason nilagay mo for extension sir and how long?

@kingofalltrades reason ko was social visit, pili ka lang sa choices na pwede mo i drop down. extension for another 30days yun sakin sir. I paid $30 SGD nung na apporved. If they already submitted you can verify. Check ur application online

@isorn4x thanks sir. I'll try to extend my visit pass. Pero yung checking ng spass application, kelangan ata yung number/pin something from the company.

Anyways, is it ok na puntahan ko yung office na nag job offer to let them know my situation? I have to exit na kasi within 3 days. And I don't want any misunderstanding through phone call. Please help. thanks

@kingofalltrades much better kung ppuntahan mo sila to talk to them personally. May mga friends ako na ung employer mismo nagsponsor ng exit nila, fares and hotel accomodation. If not, atleast they know ung situation mo.

Nung nkaraan lang ung sa gf ko gipit ndin sa time, pero di na namen inabala employer about sa pagexit namen kasi choice namen un e. Saka naisip namen na baka iback out ng employer ung application kpag di nagawan ng paraan ung extension. So nagexit kami. Thank God okay lahat and nagwwork ndin sya, 1 month na.

@kingofalltrades normal na ung mtagal ung pass application. Inupdate nila ung processing time ng mtagal pero depende pdin talaga sa MOM and walang nkkaalam.

@kingofalltrades Yes, normal na ngaun na matagal ang results ng pass application unlike before. Yung recent namin na bago third week na lumabas ang result. Even sa mga renewal inaabot na ng 2 weeks. Wala ka ba kakilala na kasama mo dyan na pass holder who can check your pass application status online pra makita mo if talagang pending na? And somehow ma update ka din sa result. Ako kc dati nakaabang na ako, nauna pko magsabi sa employer na approved na. Yung agency kc nila who assists them in workpass applications eh bagal kumilos.

@PinkPasta actually fiance ko spass holder. However, as I checked, kelangan ata ng FIN something para ma check ko online yung status ng application? Sa company na nag-apply ko lng makukuha yon diba?

@kingofalltrades Not really. Kc yung entry una nyan is FIN ng pass holder tapos name then dalin ka sa next page ng site. Required lang dun kahit passport number mo then submit. Makikita mo na ang status. At least if sinabi nila sau pending meron ka talaga mapanghahawakan na totoong naka pending. Try mo pa check k fiance.

Hello po. Sabi po sakin ng HR sinubmit na po nya sa MOM ung application ko nung April 20 but upon checking the status online through non-login no record found po yung lumalabas. Pinuntahan ko po yung HR kanina sabi nya inapply na nya kaso wala po akong assurance since ayaw idisclose yung application number since confidential daw. May same scenario po ba na katulad sakin na no record found until now but nagkaron po ng S Pass in the end? Thank you po in advance.

@klim once na apply na lalabas na kaagad yun online. kahit hindi mo alam ang application no pwede mo ichekc sa travel document no (passport no). kung wala, it means hindi pa na apply. kung may issue naman / hindi successful ang application sasabihan naman ng mom ang company

@kim in my case, at first, sinabi sakin ng company na processing na yung application ko. So I waited for 2 weeks without me knowing na pwde pala icheck online. Until after 2 weeks without any input from the company, nagtanong tanong na ko dito and discovered the online checking. Then I found out na "not found" yung passport number ko sa system. So pinuntahan ko agad kinabukasan yung company and talked to the owner (fortunately andun). Yun pala, may kulang sa documents ko and nobody even bothered to call or email me (cguro sobrang busy). After that, inapply na nila and updated me, and upon checking, yon pending na. Tho it wasted 2 weeks of my time in SG, thankful parin kasi atleast pending na.

Anyway, try mo nlng puntahan personally yung company mo to let them know na not found yung passport number mo sa MOM.
