WHERE TO STAY IN SG?

Good day po. I just want to ask for your opinions po kung sang part ng SG yung convenient magstay lalo na sa mga maghhanap plng ng trabaho. Yung mejo tipid sa pamasahe if may mga interviews. Salamat po sa sasagot.

anywhere near mrt. maliit lang sg, ung 1hr na byahe ay malayo na. pero super convenient ng transport system dito. pwede ka magcheck sa google maps kht postal code lang, may app para magcheck ng mrt routes, may app din para magcheck ilang minutes bago dumating ang bus mo. kailangan din sanay ka sa mahabang lakaran.

@ivysagisi - if you are looking to save money, its good you look for a place na walking distance sa MRT. (kahit mga 10 mins walk or depends on your tolerance)

Also I think focus more on "Saan ka mag stay" (price of your place) rather than saving on the cost ng "pamasahe".. interviews won't be much.. by ratio sa 5 or 10 interview meron ka ng 1-2 employer nag maghire sayo (probably, depends on your skills)...

But if you are pertaining na mga walk-in application.. i would suggest create a plan kung saan ka mag-papasa ng resume by using google maps + research on kung saan maraming companies where your field is...

Ex.
IT - mostly CBD
F&B - clarkquey

but if your work is tech related 100% you just apply online. (no need for walk-in application) so in such cases if may 5 interview ka that won't even cost $20 na pamasahe.

@thematrix isa nga dn po sa concern ko un, kung sang area mostly mura ang rent. Nagpplano po kc akong magtry sa sg by April next year.

usually mura sa Marsiling area, Yishun at woodlands. Better to compare.

Download mo itong app na carousell dyan kasi mostly wala ng agent fee.

Or mas maganda if may friend ka na matutuluyan kc hindi ka papa-rent ng landlord basta basta ng short term lease like (3 months or less).. usually kc min is 6 months.

Saka they will ask for your IC (working pass), so better if you check the rooms sa carousell app basahin mo or message mo yung landlord if they allow short term lease.

maginhawa ang transpo dito. hindi ka mapapagod kahit malayo.
bawal din kasi ang transient kaya mahirap din maghanap sa lugar na gusto mo.
kaya kung meron kaman na nakitang pwede magpa upa ng 1 month.. Go kana. kasi bihira lang yan. kasi yari sila pag nahuli

@ivysagisi meron din kaso hindi mo mababasa ang salitang "transient". PM molang ung mga nagpopost dito kung pwede ng panandaliang stay lang. and Join ka sa Pinoy Room for Rent sa FB.

@ivysagisi Marami sa mga group pages sa FB, just check the location and ask kung pwede ka magstay ng pandalian as what @Vincent17 mentioned. Sayang, I think last month we are looking for Drafter and QS, may nahire na sila ngayon.

@ivysagisi yeah, IT ako ng Engineering firm. Bago lang din ako dito so sorry wala ako massugest na ibang engineering companies for now. Normally the HR post the opening sa Jobstreet or Indeed. mas prefer din nila yung nandito sa SG for interview.
