Off Topic - Malaysia Employment
Hi po. Good day sa lahat! Medyo off topic po itong itatanong ko, baka sakali lang may makapagbigay din idea about working in Malaysia.
Currently, nasa pinas pa po ako. Employed sa isang IT company, and nagtratrabaho po as software consultant. Nag iimplement po ng mga accounting and ERP software sa mga companies dito. I am actively looking for employment sa Singapore. Nagpapasa po ako ng mga CV ko sa mga job portals. Hoping na sana makakuha na ng job offer bago ako pumuntang SG next year. Alam ko pahirapan din talaga makakuha ng JO sa SG lalo nasa pinas ako, pero wala naman mawawala kung susubukan.
Sa kabilang banda, nagpapasa rin naman akong applications sa mga companies sa Malaysia. Target ko kasi talaga yung mga companies na tulad ng current employer ko. Dalawang beses na akong nainterview, pareho naman positive. Nababanggit ko din sa kanila yung interest ko mag work sa SG. Sabi nila mas malaki cost of living sa SG, saka mas maluwag naman sa foreign employees ang MY. Tinanong nila sa akin kung magkano expected salary ko in MYR. I’d tell them 5000-6000 MYR. Yun din kasi range ng mga expected salaries for the position sa job portals. Then they’d say to consider na bilang foreign employee magbabayad ba ako ng tax out of pocket ko. Ayaw ko naman masyado taasan expected salary ko kasi baka dun naman ako madale. Kinokonsider ko din kasi na baka pwedeng magwork muna ako sa Malaysia before going to SG, atleast magka experience man lang sa almost the same business process ng magkalapit na country.
Hingi sana ako advice as to salaries or mga expenses na aasahan if ever mag Malaysia muna ako. Or baka may alam kayo active forums ng pinoy sa Malaysia.
