The U.S. Mission in Singapore is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Medevac Coordinator/Nurse in the Regional Medical Office (RMO).

Basic Function of Position:

The incumbent is responsible for the medical and administrative coordination of the Regional Medevac Center. She/he provides professional nursing assessment and care, occupational health services and patient education to USG employees and their eligible family members. The incumbent participates in the medical officer on-call duty schedule. The incumbent will work in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the MP/RMO working at the Regional Medevac Center.

Qualifications Required:

Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.

1. Degree (RN Level) in Nursing or Diploma/Certificate equivalent from an accredited school of Nursing is required. Must currently hold a Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) License.

2. Minimum two (2) years of post-qualification work as a professional nurse is required.

3. Level III (Good working knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing in English is required.

4. The position requires strong interpersonal skills and a client-oriented disposition capable of dealing with a complexity interactive challenges in difficult and emotional situations. Ability to establish priorities and work independently with limited supervision, as well as to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Maintaining medical confidentiality is essential. Must be able to effectively interact with physicians, medical staff, hospitals, administrators, and most importantly with medevac and medical unit patients.

5. Competence in MS Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Databases) is required.
