First time exit PH with IPA

Hello po!
Been checking for discussions here on tips sa pag alis sa PH with IPA. most of the advices ay leave as tourist.
Hndi po ba kaya na maprocess ung OWWA and OEC kahit first time flying to sg as OFW?
May ineexpect po akong IPA in the next few weeks. Direct hire po ito. And Advice po kasi ng friend ko is i-secure ko na dw OWWA and OEC ko before flying to SG. pwede ko dw po kasi ipasuyo sa authorized rep ko na nsa SG na ipa-authenticate ung contract ko sa PH embassy sa SG (new requirement). Then issend saken via email. Then process ko dw po sa OWWA here. Para I don’t have to risk leaving PH as tourist.
So confused po ako now what to do. I’m also planning to go to sg with my spouse na.
Hoping for your tips and suggestions.
Thank you so much ☺️

    Hi!

    ito po yung mga requirement pra mka pagprocess ng OEC:

    1. Employment contract signed on each page by the employer or the authorized representative containing terms and conditions which are over and above the POEA employment minimum standard (one original and one photocopy);
    2. Print-out of Certificate from Registry of Companies (ACRA/BizFile) (one original and one photocopy);
    3. Valid work permit, S-Pass, E-Pass or IPA (two photocopies);
    4. Valid passport of worker (two photocopies); and
    5. Any valid Identification of employer/authorized signatory to the employment contract (two photocopies)

    Lahat ng requirements ipa-authenticate sa Phil. Embassy sa SG, pero ang mag issue ng OEC is si POEA sa PH.

    Kung need kna ng employer mo sa SG, mag tourist ka nalang, di ka nmn madeny sa PH immigration nyan kasi kasama mo spouse mo. Yun nga lang dpat may return ticket ka at hotel booking since you will be a tourist.

    If you have still time like, 1month pwede rin process kana ng OEC before going SG, make sure original yung ibigay mo na document sa POEA kasi hinahanap rin nila ang original authenticated copy.

  • @pauipaui ah okay. Dko sure kng dapat maissue muna ung pass mo bago maapplyan ng DP si spouse. Maybe other members here can answer. If that is the case, mas okay nga cguro na magprocess ka nlng jan s pinas pero dko sure ung steps pag jan pinrocess bsta alam ko may PDOS pa. Dko sure ung timeframe.
  • @pauipaui hahaha. Kami noon, tig35 kami pero di naman nasita cguro kasi 1st time flying off from ph.
  • Hi @pauipaui , I was processed na as a direct hire before, I can give you some tips kung paano. Pero processing as a direct hire from PH super challenging kaya kung matutulungan kita na baka ma streamline natin yung sayo message mo lang me. God bless!

  • If validity yung question mo, valid naman talaga for us to travel outside our country. It's a given right :)

    May rule enforcement ang POEA, OWWA, and BI sa Pilipinas for our protection, kasi madami din cases ng kapwa natin na kapit sa patalim at napapahamak due to illegal human trafficking. Yun ang gusto nilang maprevent. Letting POEA and OWWA verify your overseas employer, your job contract with them, etc. will help ensure na di ka mapupunta sa masamang kamay.

    It's your choice whether to go through them, or do the workaround.

  • @pauipaui nasagot na nila 'yung mga tanong mo. ang sakin lang, eh reinforcement lang based on my experience.

    Kung 100% sure ka na willing to wait 'yung employer mo kahit magkadelay-delay ka pa, then it's better to process your OEC sa pinas to have peace of mind.

    But, if you are not sure, magtourist ka na lang.

Around that time meron akong 2 colleagues na nagpa-process ng OEC (going to a different country though, but the requirements shd be the same for direct hire).

    Solo akong lumipad ng January 2018, with 30kg checked bag. Pero ang kinuha kong flight eh Malaysia Airlines going to KL (nagdetour na ko kasi pumasok na ko ng Sg ng Nov 2017 for interview & contract signing). Hindi naman natanong kung bakit. Kasi automatic na may 30kg pag carrier airlines. That way, maitatago mo na marami kang dala. Kaya lang marami nga talaga yong 40kg. Since yong sagot dyan is "depende sa AyOh na matatapat sayo", i guess mas ok kung wag magdala ng sobrang dami to be safe.

    Whatever happens, we wish you the best of luck. Balitaan mo kami :)
