WATCH Wild remember J.P. Parise with touching video tribute
It's been a sad day for hockey fans in Minnesota. J.P. Parise, whose history with the Twin Cities goes back long before his superstar Earl Ingarfield Jersey son joined the , died of lung cancer at age 73.Years after starring for the Minnesota North , the elder Parise became a major figure in the local hockey community. He raised his family there and it's where Zach started on his path to a very bright NHL career.Even though it's a different franchise now, Parise's history Tom Sestito Jersey made him a big part of the Wild family. The organization took the time to honor J.P. before their game against the Thursday night by showing a touching video tribute and holding a Marc-andre Fleury Jersey moment of silence before the national anthem. The video includes footage from Parise's playing career and some of his moments with his sons Zach and Jordan. Former North Stars teammate Tom Reid also shared some thoughts about his late friend.Zach Parise did not play in the game, his second straight away from the team while remaining with his family in this difficult time.
