hello po asa SG ako ulit trying my luck ulit sa pag job hunt, for the past N-months na nagmmonster,linkedin,jobstreet, ako at sending ng CV's through email ng mga companies, karamihan tlga ng ngrrespond sakin at may offer ay Malaysia at India. Naisip ko na nga minsan na bka nsa format ba ng resume ko ung mali?or maybe sa profile ko,.. sobrang hirap humanap

may mga companies kasi dito na yung ibang IT operations nila nilipat na sa IN at MY, kaya may mga recruiter na nag ooffer sa SG job seekers kung interested for IN and MY posts. Tight talaga job market ngayon dito, job priority and favor goes first to lokal and pr which is understandable and just.

@madpotato - yes po pero more on sa web po ako, may tmwag sakin singtel kaso ang mejo nagbackout nung nalaman na ang pass ko eh is social visit pass,need daw kasi nila dependent pass...so un, sayang... pero tiwala lang, and a little bit of positivity, pasasaan ba mkakahanap din tayong lahat dito ng work

Hi Mga Kababayan,

I'm newbie here, I've been here in Singapore for a month now and nakapag extend na po ako ng stay for another month. I'm still trying to look for a job, but until now wala pa ring luck. Pa-help naman po please, baka may alam kayo na company na nag accept ng foreigners, karamihan kasi ng naapplyan ko sasabihin wala silang quota. I've been in BPO Industry for 9 years (Technical Support 6 years / QA 3 years) and 2 years as an IT helpdesk sa isang Software development company sa pinas. For now, I'm currently looking for any Customer Service jobs, IT helpdesk or application support.

Hi @joan.amasaintz! I am also a bpo employee pero 2.5 yrs lang exp ko sa bpo dito sa pinas. 7 months sa hotel. All in all 3 years lang. Walang walang sa experience mo. Will fly to sg sept 1 pa naman. Grabe! Hindi pala talaga madali. Wala akong matinding advices kasi di pa naman ako nakakarating dyan pero I will pray for you to get a job asap! I really want to read successful bpo stories bago ako umalis para lakasan din ng loob. Hehe. Just pray and you will make it eventually. ☺

May mga nababasa ako sa threads na pwede ka gumawa ng list of call centers tas tawagan mo isa isa hr dept nila to ask if there is a quota for foreigner. Kung meron daw apply agad, pag di nagrespond sa application mo after a week, tawagan mo daw ulit just to follow up.

Sabi nila you can also try other industries kung wala pa din talaga. Like yung tinapos mong course, pwede ka din magtry dun kahit wala kang exp. Kung sino mauna magrespond, grab agad.

Compilation lang po yan sa mga nabasa ko kakatambay dito sa forum sa mga nagtourist who landed a job agad. Hehe. Hope it will help! Goodluck po.

Ex NCS employee ako. Dami na retrench na foreigners dati May 2016 bago ako umalis sana ok na uli sila ngayon. Tip ko lang sa mga CV nyo try to focus on what the company needs. So kung tech support ka, no need to put it like ccna, programming, etc. Basta try nyo lang e match cv nyo sa need nila. I've revised my Cover letter and CV a couple of times bago nakatanggap ng sunod sunod na tawag. This was way back 2011. Siguro malaking factor na rin ang pg higpit nila ngayon like quota for foreigners. Wag lang mawalan ng pag asa. Good luck.
