Hi pinoys. Help!
Possible ba na ma downgrade ang work pass.. From Spass to work permit.
Admin position. because walang quota gagawin nila work pass.. possible ba ma approve?

Normally, bago ipasa ng company yung application mo sa MoM, pagttryin ka jan para massess if maapprove ka or not.

gusto ko din malaman if possible kasi ang alam ko is only maid for work permit any other job required s pass at least.

WP to Spass is possible. Please keep in mind ,for WP need to have an accommodation required by MOM hence HDB is not possible .

make sure aware ka sa mga restrictions sa WP, gaya ng sinabi ni carpejem, at kapag tatanggalin ka na or hindi na irerenew pass mo, hindi ka bibigyan ng 30days SVP, required employer na bilhan ka ng ticket at ililipad ka immediately pabalik ng Pinas sa day ng pag cancel ng WP mo.

hi nag try na ako sa SAS qualify ako sa SPASS. pero pano pag work pass ang i aaply because walang quota for SPASS.
right now spass holder po ako. @jrdnprs @tambay7 same lang po ba yung link pag i ttry kong pwde sa work permit?

SAT is for s pass and e pass lang ata.

@preSGpinoy kung ako syo wag ka papayag downgrade pass mo, madami ka dapat consider jan at kaw mag sasuffer..unang una bahay, alam mo ba hindi pwedi tumira sa HDB ang work permit holder not unless malasian ka?

@popoy pwede ata sa hdb pero dapat stay ka with an hdb flat owner.

@preSGpinoy ang option ba nila sayo either downgrade and cancel s pass? yung work permit is for unskilled and semi skilled pass. may degree ka ba? marami restrictions ang work permit.

i think gusto lang niya malaman if pwede ma downgrade from s pass to work permit.

work pass few years back is less than 1k pay ang alam ko. that's not a good sign.

normally naririnig ko na downgrade is from EPASS to SPASS dahil sa pag taas ng requirement ng EPASS need i baba ang current epass to spass.

ang work permit po ay para sa mga non-professional..ang alam ko Malaysian lang pwedi mag work under work permit kahit ano pa work nila (pro or non pro)

@popoy ay pustahan agad. nabasa ko lang po, kaya may screenshot at link. so ibig mo sabihin if foreigners who are non malaysian on a work permit, hindi pwede makatira sa hdb. yan ang d ko alam.

wala pako narinig na Spass to WP.

kadalasan mga WP dumadaan yan sa pinas agency.
Then about sa HDB kailangan lang ikey-in ng mayari ng bahay ung name ng WP sa hdb online.

(meron akong kasamahan sa bahay na WP) pero hindi sya kasambahay..

dati bawal sila mag rent ng buong flat, pero pwede mag rent ng room pero binago na nung June 2016, bawal na sila mag rent ng room, kailangan mag provide na yung employer ng dormitory or staff housing para sa mga WP holders.

APAt na klase po kasi ung work permit base sa MOM website
1. Work Permit for foreign worker
For semi-skilled foreign workers in the construction, manufacturing, marine, process or services sector.

2. Work Permit for foreign domestic worker
3. Work Permit for confinement nanny
4. Work Permit for performing artiste

so pwde siguro sa number 1 diba.

May exception yan, a Filipino dependent pass holder of an SPass holder is allowed to be employed under a work permit, at pede siyang tumira sa HDB kasama espouse nya na SPass holder.

Except for that instance, i dont think they allow pinoys to get a WP for foreign worker.

@magoy hindi pwedi magwork ang dependant pass under Spass holder not unless bibigyan sya sarili nya Spass.
kaya mawawala pagka dependant nya.

Sorry @popoy, please read carefully. Im saying pede sya "under a WP", i didnt say Spass.

Im citing an actual case kaya im sure about this. Staff ko mismo yung sinasabi ko at ako mismo nagapply ng WP nya na na approve naman ng MOM. Its still active as of now so i know this is an exception that MOM allows.

what do you mean, dalawa hawak nya pass dependant at wp?? ang alam ko kacancel mna depandant pass nya bago sya iapply ng pass tama ba?? medyo ayusin mo ksi statement mo.

okay lang ba malaman ano work nya at bakit work permit?

@popoy, tama ka. Dalawang pass hawak nya now. Dependent pass holder sya ng Spass na husband nya pero di sya pede mag work as dependent pass holder since hindi EP ang husband nya. So para makapag work sya eh kailangan nya ng WP (treated as MY quota). Kailangan nya i maintain ang DP nya kasi she can only work as WP holder, na normally not given to other Pinoys.

Kung Spass ang hawak nya eh tama ka rin na dapat muna i give up and DP, which is not the case as i mentioned in my earlier post. I actually did not mention na Spass hawak nya what i said was WP sya na dependent pass holder ng husband nya na Spass. Sorry if mali intindi but i thought maayos naman statement ko. Di lang siguro madaling intindihin if nagmamadali magbasa. I will simplify it next time.

@magoy sori pero now ko lang yta narinig yan, dalawa ang pass hawak dependant pass at wp??(paki double check mo lang sir bka nagkakamali ka ditto)

personal experience ko ksi if dependant ka under Spass at gsto mo magwork dapat kansel mo depandant para ma-apply ka pass company kumukuha syo. if dependant ka nman under Epass kuha ka lang LOC para mka pag work.
never pako nkarinig dalawa ang hawak na pass..(ano yun dalawa din Fin# nya)

@popoy, no need to double check kasi i personally applied for her WP at inapprove ito ng MOM. As i mentioned in my earlier, this is an exception to the usual rule.

LOC is for DP of an EP. Now merong ding DP na iniissue sa SPass holder na qualified pero their DP is not allowed to have an LOC. So they need to get a pass to work. Since they are DP (but not entitled to LOC), they are allowed to apply for a WP and employers are allowed to use their MY quota for WP even if applicant is a Pinoy.

They are using the same FIN indicated in their DP and they are allowed to retain their DP in case they lose their job and their WP. This is a not so well known rule so this is the first time you're hearing it but i have an employee using this so you can take my word for it.

Attached is the IPA of my Pinoy staff's WP together with her DP. Note that she has both WP number and a FIN from her DP. I covered her pertinent info for her privacy.

Again this is not common knowledge, but for the info of DP holder by an SPass holder, while they are not qualified to work under LOC (only DP by EP holders are allowed), they can still work without an SPass. But it will be under WP. Employer can use their MY WP quota so they have a bigger chance of getting it vis-a-vis an Spass.
