  • sa iba pang nagbabakasalaki kung ang budget is enough lang for 1 month, hold off the plan muna, ipon pa, mag handa ng budget na good for 3 months.
usually kapag within a month hindi ka pa hired or worse ay wala pa pumapansin sa mga resume na sinend good indication na yun na baka abutin ng 2-3 months ang paghahanap. patience is a helpful pero more than sufficient budget is a bigger help.
  • @tambay7 hindi ba nakakapag walk in s SG?
  • edited January 2017
@monochrone, medyo negative ang walk in unless inispecify nung company na may walk in interviews sila. So walang chance makapasok unless may invitation ka.

For F&B may nakikita ako na iilan ilan na post sa mga resto but in the end, PR, DP, LTVP ang required. AFAIK, construction/civil eng'g. field ka right?
  • @jrdnprs anong nature ng work mo? how long ka nang nagapply?
  • @corrappyka. I was hired on my 4th week but nagexit sa Malaysia for a couple of days, once my IPA was issued then I returned back to SG.
  • edited January 2017
@jrdnprs. Ah okay, lucky for you nahire ka immediately. Mostly din sa mga CE dito QS and CAD ang nakukuha, bibihira din ang nakukuha for site/project unless extensive na ang experience mo like minimum 10years. Kaya meju matagal din makakuha ng response.
  • @corrappyka , yep. Experience matching kasi dito, QS din work ko jan sa Pinas before kaya QS din inapplyan kong work dito. I did not bother applying for any CE related job because I know hindi papansinin yung CV ko.

  • edited January 2017
@corrappyka, never tried walking in. Mas feasible is tingnan mo yung BCA website, nandun lahat ng construction companies. Then google mo isa isa yung number, then tawagan mo. Ask mo if may hiring for CE (site engineer posts) and if may quota for foreigners, if receptionist sumagot, sabihin mo iforward ka sa HR Dept. Hingin mo email address nung nakausap mo, send mo CV sa kanya.

After a week or two, tawagan mo ulit, then verify if may chance for an interview. Pag wala, move on.

Paulit ulit lang na ganun ginawa ko.

Yes. A few of my interviews, all online applications.
  • @jrdnprs ah okay, halos same din ang ginagawa ko, kaso instead of looking for construction companies, I'm looking at current projects then checking for involved companies. Pero try ko din ung ginawa mo. Thanks! tiyaga tiyaga lang talaga.
  • @corrappyka , good luck and sana makatisod ka ng swerte soon. Balitaan mo na lang kami at don't forget to share your experience to people who are also trying out their luck here in SG.
  • @corrappyka ano experience mo vertical or horizontal?
  • @reyven horizontal, roads and bridge construction po
  • @corrappyka medyo mahirap yan ksi more on vertical dito..
  • @reyven totoo, mostly vertical dito sa SG or if horizontal, tunnel and MRT projects kaya hirap din makakuha ng application response.
  • edited January 2017

  • Good day! Maraming Salamat :))
  • @AEC ano pong work nyo? Im also looking for anyone who has tried applying through agencies
  • @AEC nagtry ako sa Global Recruitment agency sa may Geylang, kaso S$500 ang registration fee nila but the good thing is fully refundable kung hindi nahanapan ng work within 30 working days. I just tried lang din meju may kamahalan, pero money back guaranteed naman. Will post an update kung sakaling mabigyan nila ako ng scheduled interview sa mga employers.
  • @corrappyka @AEC, Baka gusto nyo mo basahin feedback tungkol dyan sa Global Recruit Agency bago kayo magdecide:
