Just like here in pinas, long as you have active numner kht walang load. You can answer phone calls unlimited times.

@Michaeltan , sorry to hear that bro. Ilang araw mo balak sa Pinas? If 5 days, pwede mo ayusin yan sa airport. If nasa Pinas ka, pwede ka kumuha cguro ng death cert ng lola mo, and ipakita sa OWWA sa Naia. For sure, mabibgyan ka ng exemption and makakuha ng oec.

Hi mga kapatid SG na ako ule. Tama po sir @RDG. Pede po sa naia ayusin. Basta emergency at less than 5 days lang stay dito sa pinas. Dito ko po naayos lahat sa naia terminal 3 yung owwa at oec ko. Ang difference lang is yung oec is good for 24 hours lang. So same day ng flight ka dpat kukuha. Manual OEC tawag nila for emergency na nde naka kuha ng oec or nde registered nung umuwi ng pinas.

Spass, epass
Contract original mula sa company
Ticket na less than 5 days dapat
Passport

Naia Terminal 3 ko po ito na experience. Share ko lang dito pra sa iba.

Nakablik na po SG. Registered nrin ofw sa owwa. Sa naia terminal 3 ko po lahat naayos. May mga nag assist dun sken.

Nung pag dating ko tinanong ko na agad sila dun, may poea at owwa silang pwesto sa departure area. Then snbi nila balik nalang ako sa kanila pag pabalik na ako SG, help nila daw ako. Saka 24 hrs lang ksi oec pede nila ibgy kya dpt aayusin mo sya sa araw ng flight mo na pabalik. Less than 15 minutes ko lang sya inayos tpos dun nrin nag bayad ng mga dpt byran pra sa owwa. Then okay na, bnigyan na ako oec.

@alken no quota means hindi pwede para sayo. maaaring para sa lokal, PiAr o DiPi lang o maaaring para sa E-pass lang. pag S-pass kasi may mga requirements tulad ng quota among others

thanks sir @Michaeltan for this post. nakakainspire yung journey mo and other success stories shared by our kababayans here. congrats sa inyo!

nakakarelate ako ng sobra sa SG job hunting experiences dito, since nagstay din ako as tourist in SG for 3 months last 2014 and naghanap ng work. I stayed sa HDB ng friends ng sister ko so I still pay my monthly rent. On my 3rd month, nakakuha ako ng one and only job offer sa isang start up company for a marketing communications specialist position. but unfortunately, my pass was rejected kahit inappeal nila.

But i think the application/job hunt process/style is still the same, except na mas mahigpit na ata sila sa quota ngaun. There’s no definite style kasi depends talaga sa qualifications mo, company you’re applying for, and the timing of your application. Share ko lang din ung learnings ko:

1. Keep the faith and pray unceasingly.
2. Do your part: use all possible channels to apply: job sites, buy Straits Times news paper and look for jobs sa classified ads (especially on Wednesdays kasi maraming nakapost doon, mas marami ako nakuha na interview dito kesa through online).
3. Believe in the power of LinkedIn (dito ako nahanap ng employer na nag job offer sa akin)
4. Referrals work: mas malaki chance mo makapag set ng interviews if may mga kakilala ka na makakapagrefer sayo sa employers. socialize with pinoys during gatherings if may chance ka, to increase your network.
5. If mag eexit ka, plan it strategically, dont buy dummy tickets for your return ticket, pero ganun talaga mapapagastos ka, pagdating sa IO, less talk, less mistake, act naturally. I was just fortunate na nakapag exit ako twice (Batam and JB) without any hassle.
6. Dont resign sa Pinas dahil walang assurance sa SG. always have a plan B and C. yan ung big mistake ko, nagresign ako sa company ko dito sa Pinas kahit di ako prepared (financially, mentally and strategically) na makipagsapalaran sa SG. pagbalik ko dito sa Pinas, natengga ako ng another 7 months bago makakuha ng work dito. so plan wisely.

Yun lang po, i hope my advice is still relevant.

Five years later, I’m still thinking of giving SG a second chance. Coz I still want to fulfill that dream. But medyo fresh pa rin yung pain ng pagkareject sa akin. hehe. Im thinking what went wrong? What could i have done better? Pero i believe things happen for good reasons.

I’m wondering though, meron ba dito na nasa, digital media/marketing/multimedia or communications field? kumusta po hiring dyan ngaun sa field na yan? I hope I could get in touch with you.

Thank you @theexplorer sa pag share ng job hunting experience mo. Sa ngayon medyo mahirap makahanap ng work. 3 Friends ko na nag try kahit isang interview wala sila nakuha for 1 month. Pana panahon lang talaga , saka importante din talaga na sobrang okay yung resume mo. Syempre dun sila unang titingin e.

Tinaasan narin yung sahod ng espas so tingin ko naka apekto din yun.

Golden era ng SG is gone . pahirapan but if you have the special skills makukuha mo . problem now is marami ng tao with the same common skills.
