  • Suspensions and Travel Bans

Starting Sunday, March 15, people will no longer be allowed to go in and out of the Metro as they please. Land, air, and sea travel will be banned until April 14, 2020. It has not been clarified if movement within the Metro will also be limited.

The current suspension of classes in all levels in Metro Manila has also been extended until April 12, 2020. Both travel and class suspensions will be subject to a daily review of the inter-agency task force assigned to handle the disease's spread and may change, clarified the President.

Overseas Filipino Workers, on the other hand, will be allowed to travel to China—except for Hubei, where the disease first appeared—after signing a declaration stating that they understand the risks.

The Metro's train lines—Metro Rail Transit Line 3, Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2, as well as the Philippine National Railway—will continue operating with social-distancing measures applied. Mass gatherings, whether "planned or spontaneous," have also been banned.

@fibz07 may pasok pa rin ang private sector, and people residing outside of metro manila but working IN metro manila will still be allowed to go in. Saka, suspended din ang lahat ng domestic land, sea and air travel to & from manila. pero sympre malabo ung land kasi mass public transport will still be operational. kaya ayan. medyo blurry pa ung lines ng move na to, so i suggest wait wait muna ng info bago magdecide :)

Kami ang FIRST and MOST impacted pagdating s Travel.

  • @AhKuan I am on a Travel business po kasi, no one wants to travel and MNC's are imposing travel bans to their directors and Senior Management.

  • @ladytm02 yes, at the end of the day we all should be thankful.

  • Guys update ko lng keo about impact sa flights. NO lock-down as far as "international" flights are concerned "as of the moment". You can still get in and out of our country as long as you have "Philippine Passport".

Travel ban is the same China and its administrative region such as Hong Kong and Macau.

yan nga problema namin. kasi pauwi mother in law ko 1st week of April. pasok pa sa quarantine period

ang nakalagay kasi ay you need to use other Airport like CLARK kung ang destination mo ay hindi Metro Manila. ang problem, taga-Cavite kami. so kahit via CLARK, dadaan pa din ng Metro Manila pauwi

@ladytm02 salamat sa info. just in case at hindi magbago by 1st week of April, sanay ay mapayagan ang mother in law ko na ma-extend pa. kasi by that time ay max 89 days na din ang stay nya dito

  • Thank you @zhypher33 and @kabo pare parehas pala tayong taga Cavite.

  • required na 14days quarantine from ASEAN countries.

    https://moh.gov.sg/news-highlights/details/additional-precautionary-measures-to-prevent-further-importation-of-covid-19-cases

  • I might lose my job because of Covid-19. I am in the business travel sector. Most of the fortune 500 are restricting their employees to travel hence no calls. No calls means no work.

  • @zhypher33 actually if magtatagal 'tong COVID-19 (like 1 year or more), talagang madaming mawawalan ng work. In Jesus name.

  • @zhypher33 anong sector mo? Me inannounce na ba ang company niyo na me mawawalan ng work or nawalan na ng work?

@ekme anong work ng kapitbahay niyo?

    Border restrictions

    1. Based on this latest situation, the Multi-Ministry Taskforce will put in place additional border restriction measures. From 16 March 2020, 2359 hours, all travellers (including Singapore Residents, Long Term Pass holders, and short-term visitors) entering Singapore with recent travel history to ASEAN countries[2], Japan, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom within the last 14 days will be issued with a 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN).[3] In addition, they will have to provide proof of the place where they will serve the 14-day SHN, for example a hotel booking covering the entire period, or a place of residence they or their family members own. They may also be swabbed for testing for COVID-19, even if asymptomatic. This is because of the risk of community transmission in these countries and evidence of cases that have been imported from these countries into Singapore.

    2. In addition to the SHN requirement, from 16 March 2020, 2359 hours, all short-term visitors who are nationals of any ASEAN country will have to submit requisite information on their health to the Singapore Overseas Mission in the country they are resident before their intended date of travel. The submission will have to be approved by Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) before travel to Singapore, and the approval will be verified by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers at the Singapore checkpoints. Short-term visitors who arrive in Singapore without the necessary approval will be denied entry into Singapore. They are therefore advised to secure the approval before making definitive travel bookings.

    3. The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will also introduce new measures for Foreign Domestic Workers entering Singapore. More details will be announced by MOM.
