Dahil sa dumadami na ang case ng Covid-19 dito sa singapore. as an OFW worker, panu kung one day you got infected by this said virus (wag naman sana but thinking of the worst)

you got quarantined in NCID. kanino ka dapat makipag ugnayan ? will the Philippine Embassy assist you financially? will the Government of Singapore help you? what options can an OFW do?

Isa lang ang alam ko as of now from Philippine Embassy but im not sure if they will assist you financially or you will just be a statistic. please help if there are articles about them saying The embassy will assist.

  • Kaya po mas maganda kung may insurance kayo dito, sa AIA po kahit anong policy meron ka, secured ka. same with other insurances.

sagot ng government ng SG pagamot, kaya nga maraming turista nagpupunta dito kahit may sakit na. 1st link below. pero hinigpitan na dahil nkakaubos ng resources >>> Singapore residents and long-term pass holders - such as those on work, student's and dependant's passes >>ito na lang libre.

Tapos hinigpitan ulit, link 2, ung mga naka-svp di na iaaccept magpacheck up >>> MOH advises doctors in Singapore to stop or defer accepting non-resident foreign patients

  • Ung sa AIA ba may limit yung babayaran nila or lahat mismo ng ginastos sa hospitalization during the covid?

just to clarify po . yung mga S-Pass holders po ba sagot parin ng government?

Yung term ba na "singapore resident" is for people who live in singapore? and not limited to Singapore Locals and Permanent residents?

by the way merong inooffer na 30 days coverage ang DBS for all account holders (regardless of account), i take-advantage nyo na rin to, hanapin nyo sa website ng DBS pano magregister. kahit 30 days lang, coverage pa rin yan.

All insured persons under this policy must be Singapore Residents.

    Included ba tayo kahit foreigners?

    @fibz07

refer to the FAQ, same page sa link na nilagay ni @iamannedoi (thanks sa link by the way):

Singapore Resident means Singapore citizen, Singapore permanent resident, or ** holder of a valid work permit, employment pass, long-term visit pass, dependant's pass, S Pass or student pass ** issued by the authorities in Singapore.

  • @ladytm02 thank you.

Kung 3 years ago pa then eligible pa yung rider mo to cover yung buong hospital bill.

Nag check ako sa website ng AIA parang mostly yung covered nila yung 1000 SGD na hospitalization lang at yung 25,000 if you passed away because of the virus.

    @AhKuan last year lang.

    $3,500 and onwards = 90% covered ng base plan, 10% co-pay

if magpurchase ng rider, na take note ay mas mahal pa ang premium kaysa sa base plan (lol),
    1st $3,500 = covered ng rider
$3,500 and onwards = 90% covered ng base plan, 10% covered ng rider

Note na itong plan na to is for foreigners. I remember this tlga kasi paulit-ulit kong tinanong to sa agent, di ko kasi maintindihan nung una kasi walang ganyan sa pinas, haha. naaalala ko sabi nya: kung ang bill mo is $10,000, ang co-pay (without the rider) is $3,500 + 10%* ($10,000 - $3,500) = $4,150. pero pano kung ang bill mo ay $100,000? $3,500 + 10%*($100,000 - $3,500) = $13,150

pag may rider $0 bill daw. hehe.

    yan. ganyan ako nabentahan. hahahaha

    blood618
  • @ladytm02

Eto yung breakdown ng Hospitalization dito sa singapore per day. ang ward class mo will most likely be A as 1 bed. dahil quarantined ka : $1,372 - $2,788 per day.
    https://blog.seedly.sg/the-true-cost-of-healthcare-in-singapore-that-every-singaporean-should-be-aware-of/

Pero to clarify sagot sya ng government diba? they only defer those foreigners that are non-resident and visitors?

Singapore Resident refers to any Singapore citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident or valid pass holder who is currently residing in Singapore. A valid pass holder includes a holder of an Employment Pass, Work Permit, S Pass, Dependant Pass, Student Pass or Long Term Visit Pass. For clarity, a holder of a Social Visit Pass is not considered a valid pass holder.

After that may co-payment na.

Full riders are still available for sale. If I buy the full riders now, will I be allowed to keep the rider policy?

As insurers will need time to work out their new plans that meet the requirements, we have given them until 1 April2019to do so.In the meantime, insurers can continue selling their existing rider plans, but must inform their new policyholders that they will transit them to the new riders with co-payment from 1 April2021.

Policyholders can also switch to the new riders earlier if they wish to, as the new riders are likely to have lower premiums. Any pre-existing conditions that are covered prior to the switch will not be excluded.

    blood618

Thank you :)

@blood618 depende sa age yata un. di ko kabisa breakdown ng main plan & rider, have to check my plans again ^_^

  • @iamannedoi salamat s Link sir, ang sign up n din ako.

  • @kabo @AhKuan @ladytm02 @blood618

Example po, kapag $10,000 yung bill mo, 90% or $9,000 babayaran nung insurance company at yung 10% or $1,000 babayaran mo kapag wala ka pong rider.

    https://blog.moneysmart.sg/health-insurance/exactly-insurance-riders-bother-getting-one/

Madaming type ng Insurance. to give you a run down eto
    https://www.fool.com/investing/what-types-of-insurance-do-you-need.aspx

(dont quote me on this xD eto lang yung personal opinion ko)

"Prudential, NTUC Income, AXA, AIA, Great Eastern and Aviva"

  • @zhypher33

Yung cost ng insurance depende sa company na bibilhan mo ng service. sakin usually ang inooffer yung savings plan. would suggest to check yung mga health insurance, personal accidental insurance at yung mga insurance with hospitalization coverage.

sa AIA Meron din kasi yung mga Critical illness na tinatawg. pero pag may pre-existing conditions ka alam ko may changes sa price (sa corporate parang mas mahal) but ask for it muna w/o declaring a pre-existing condition pag nalaman mo na price tanong mo panu kung may pre-existing condition na "ganito or ganyan" then discuss kung may mga special options sila for a plan na much better pricing for budget reasons.

usually pag ganun binibigyan ako ng special rate. :D or pag di ko gusto yung rate minsan mag tatanong ako sa ibang agent sa ibang area. then i would know my answer.

    zhypher33

    blood618
  • ahh... haha i didn't know ung sakin binili ko lang tapos aun.. XD

salamat :D I think i need to check my agent about this.
